Overview
Our mission is to curate a rich global experience within our local community, aiming to deepen cultural understanding, dissolve barriers, forge lasting international friendships, and promote campus unity. As part of this initiative, I spearheaded a weekly weekend activity drawing 80 participants, fostering multicultural camaraderie. Additionally, I organized weekly meetings and collaborated on crafting engaging group activities. Our program also hosts seasonal events tailored to each quarter, including ice skating in winter and visiting tulip fields in spring, enhancing our participants' experiences with diverse cultural activities.
Task Accomplished
-Take charge of a segment of the Unite UW program, overseeing its organization, coordination, and execution, which involves crafting and executing activities, events, weekend retreats, and other team-building endeavors.
-Provide guidance, assistance, and resource allocation to facilitators throughout the program's duration to ensure smooth operation and effective delivery.
- Identify and address the individual needs of student participants by facilitating connections with appropriate campus resources and support services.
-Utilize participant surveys to evaluate program effectiveness, analyzing feedback to generate assessment reports aimed at refining and enhancing the program's offerings in subsequent quarters.

Guiding a leadership team consisting of five members in honing their skills by facilitating practice sessions for leading ice breakers and addressing any queries they may have.

Taking the initiative to organize social gatherings with the group and other members of the leadership team, as well as initiating the tradition of post-meeting dessert runs.
Lesson Learned
It's crucial not to assume that others understand your expectations unless you clearly explain them, emphasizing the underlying reasons behind them. Given the diverse range of participants in the program, inclusivity is paramount; therefore, any social interactions should aim to involve everyone. The overarching objective is to foster a sense of group cohesion and camaraderie, making group hangouts the primary aim.
